Also used 949 racing lug nuts for 6 years before replacing them with another set of 949s as a preventive maintenance wear and tear item - the old ones looked and functioned completely fine.

I went from Ray's Duraluminum to some 949s after 6 years for the same reason, wear and tear even though the Ray's worked just fine.
