The resolution of the signal is 200mph / 32767, or about 0.006mph. RaceChrono shows a precision of 0.1 units (whether it's mph or kph), which seems like plenty.

 

Ok, thats what I was seeing.. just needed a sanity check. Setting up a system I've never used and the bit masking makes my head hurt

First of all, thanks to the OP for posting and sharing. This is really useful info - the fast data feed is much more useful!
Nate - can I ask what kind of refresh rate are you getting, and on how many channels?
Next question - has anyone looked at the AT command set for the device that enables this 'CAN bus sniffing' mode?

Bit late, but just saw this thanks to the bump. Looks like I'm getting about 60-70Hz with 10 channels configured.
