Default roll cage induced oversteer

Does this sound likely? I just got my roll cage finished, and my car is now wickedly loose. I have Motons club sport shocks w 500lb f/400lb r springs. I took the car out and its oversteer city. In slow right hand turns I am lifting my right rear tire way off the ground. this never used to happen I have a Muz fr sway bar . Is it likely that the car is so much stiffer now- that its causing this? my thoughts about what to do are these. #1 stiffen the front and soften the rear with my adj. shocks. #2 get a bigger front bar. #3 Stiffer front springs and/or softer rear springs. Your help is appreciated.

You'll have to supply us with some more info. Pictures of the cage would help. I doubt simple weight distribution would cause this but it's also very hard for me to understand exactly how much more oversteer you are experiencing. Adjusting the shocks will do nothing except change the transitional characteristics of the car. I assume you are experiencing the oversteer in steady state turning? Check all the suspension components for binding and impaired movement.

If the problem is caused by a new weight distribution, you'll have to correct it with either spring rates or sway bars. Get on a skid pad and test it out.

Bigger front sway and/or delete rear sway? Sell the Muz to me!

It's more because of stiffened chassis than weight distribution. On hard cornering, reduced chassis flex goes into increased suspension compression. You may want to bias front roll-stiffness more but the increased suspension compression may result in less rear camber requirement as well.

Yeah, that would be my guess. The increased stiffness acts sort of like a spring rate increase, which means more weight transfer and thus less grip.

Yes, stiff chassis= less body flex-more work done by the suspension and tires. I need a BIGGER bar and a change in my springs, and improvemnt in my driving, the cage is a custom race cage similar to others you have seen. I will get pictures up when I get the top off to paint the cage. I got to race this weekend.
