I don't see a dash bar, or am I blind?

Looks like there are a few extra bends in the A Pillar bars, so I would guess you have 1.75 x .120
yup 1.75 x .120

You need a dash bar to be SCCA compliant. I had to add one after the fact. The stock bolt-in bar is not enough.

Ouch. Turn-R-Us, who will you be racing with?

I will post pics with the hardtop on. It is a bitch getting the seat and base out. Had to undo the base, then undo the seat from the base before taking the seat out. I cant take the seat out with the base together. It is gonna be fun getting it back in

No dash bar that is correct.

Mine is the same way. The tunnel side has to be installed on the seat when you place it in the car, the door side is then slid down the side and bolted to the side of the seat, and then it is all bolted to the car. it is not that bad once you get the hang of the process. But even my cage builder has a hard time until I told him how to do it.

I would get a Dash bar before you put it back together. Unless this is a DE only car. Then I will still do it.

Shit I thought the stock dash bar was enough for SCCA. How is he gonna get a dash bar in with everything welded in???

How did you get one added in after the fact??? What did your welder need to do?

It really depends on your local region. NASA tends to be a younger and more informal crowd but our SCCA region (I'm on the East Coast) is made up of a great group of guys. Probably the biggest differences I've noticed is the NASA standing start and the definition of "racing room." The SCCA defines it as a car width while NASA says you only have to leave a competitor half a car width of "racing surface."
