Rotor assembly screws

Necessary or not?

Nice to have when reassembling things but your wheels torques it down.

Totally useless more likely to seize than do anything

Little bit of anti-sieze and I've never had an issue.

I continue to use them. Of course they're not necessary but they make caliper placement that much easier.

I know what Tut will say. He eats them for breakfast.

I would use them if my rotors had them, I think it further minimizes the small chance of balance issues.

Nope. I do the same thing you do. I anti-seize the **** out of them and the tapered area on the rotor to make sure they come out nice and easy. It makes swapping pads especially on my Stoptechs easier with the rotor not moving around, and I generally swap back to street pads between each NASA or Gridlife weekend so that means I will have swapped pads like 18 times this year.

And we're officially tied at 4/4

Track car? Mine stay out. Those screws are the LAST thing I want to deal with if I have to swap rotors at the track. Even with a ton of anti-seize they don't come out easy.

RacerZook 10-12-2017 08:56 AM

If you're needing something to hold the rotor in place, 2 lug nuts work just fine.

Topplayer 10-12-2017 08:57 AM

I like them, why not? With proper tools I have never had one seize.
