The exhaust on the side of my house comes in at 54lbs total....

That being said i agree I would be much lighter without the cage and supercharger. Supercharger is somewhere around 55-60lbs.

Who knows on the cage.

An no, I'm not trying to bust his Ba..s, just trying to make it accurate. We've had about 1000 of these posts' where the bumper bars weight is 100lbs each.

My car weighs 2640 lbs with just under half a tank of gas. I have two seats, AC, CC, head unit(but no amps or speakers- haven't taken it out yet ), all airbags, etc.

You should swap the battery. Since I run a higher compression stroker motor, I opted for the 14lbs one vice the 10lbs one- more CCA's. I haven't weighed a stock battery, but I've lifted it out of my car and know that there is a difference.

Btw, I do not believe you can remove any part of the SRS and still have the car be legal on the street. Can anyone confirm or refute this? This includes seatbelts swapped in favor of harnesses.

You also can't remove any part of the emissions control system on a vehicle and have it be legal on the street. How many people do you know that drive an S with a test pipe?

Blackey - Is that 54 pounds with or without the cat?

Yah, that's great, you'll have car that is lighter and faster on the track, but, now you have a car that is also miserable to drive on the street. The NVH has gone to hell. You'll be fine with the race car like noise for a while, but inevitably you'll realize you took a car that was a perfect balance of a good street and track car, and now turned it into one that only belongs on the track.

That's the conclusion I came to anyway.
very true - I love my stripped track car but street duty is very limited now.

Hey! I'm the pot calling the kettle black, brah! I have neither emissions control nor seatbelts.

I do laugh at those that just can't drive without a radio though. Maybe their lives are so complacent and mundane that they have all kinds of time for peaceful reflection at other times of their days. Or they don't have children.

Or they keep the radio in the car because they anticipate driving the car from Seattle to Spokane for a track weekend, and want to be able to listen to the Mariners game along the way.

I'm sure that applies to a lot of us.
