Whomever it is...the lucky bastard gets a $700 vacuum cleaner.

As mentioned in previously posted threads, changes/addendum have been announced. In summary:

1) No double points for the 2nd half of the Series. We may implement this system for the 2010 S2K Challenge Series but it was deemed unfair to announce a chance in the middle of the 2009 Season.

2) Sponsor shops will be allowed place (and take recognition for placement at individual events) but will not collect points/prizes.

3) We will make our prize distribution at the remaining events "grab-bag" style where 1st place will get 1st pick from the pile (in the respective class), and so on.

4) All podium finishers for all the remaining 2009 events will receive nice marble, engraved prize plaques. Grand prize 1st place finishers in Street & Modified class will each take home awesome Carbon Fiber Trophies. (thanks x1000000000 to Joel Perez & Cobblestone Realty in Palmdale AND Mike's Ultimate Dent Removal).

I don't think it's the cockpit spacer... for the S2KC events, why not ditch the front aero and put on some 255 NT01 on non-stagger AP2 wheels?

Whoever it is, it's going to be hilarious to watch him trying to fit that thing somehow in the S2000, especially if he's got a naggy wife/girlfriend passenger!

Wait, which is it, Ed?

I sort of want to try something I saw discussed on another forum about the wind deflector that goes right in front of the front wheel well. Supposedly it reduces drag and improves downforce.

"0.25 = For ALL front bumper aero mods (except a splitter which is 0.5)"

So canards + lip = 0.25pts

Its quite common. Its mostly to reduce drag for those who have wheels that stick out. Typically flow will hit the tire and be directed inside the wheel well, creating drag. With the deflectors, the overall cross sectional area remains the same. It is in the flow modifier category of aero. A pro level engineer has done extensive wind tunnel testing with these deflectors, and supposedly noticed increase in rear down force as well, though I'm not quite certain why, but thats what I was told.

I think one of the prizes should be a 50inch tv! I want to see someone try to get that home with them
