Here's a vid of me chasing one of you s2k guys.
Your line is much better than his. Lucky for you I concur that the understeer in 5 is costing you time as well.

So you gonna get that GTC-200 wing?

Make sure you tell KC at APR that Ed from the S2K Challenge sent you and make sure to bring the physical copy of the Speedventures certificate.
YES!!! It might look like i'll be able to trade my TEINS for CR suspension with Espelir springs!?!?

APR is selling the 200 for $530 (minus my discount?).

Will try to have my car ready for BW.

here is my 1'32s laps video on bald nt01, 4 for $150, i've been cheap on old used nt01s, last set was also $100!

http://vimeo.com/5385587

i just check my G2X and i was very happy to see my gps speed thru T9 was above 99mph and hit 125.5mph before T1, and with stock gear ratio, i was on 5th gear after T6 all the way to T1!!

here is my gps corner speed at big willow, 85+mph thru T1, 88+mph thru T2, 60+mph thru omega, 125+mph thru T8, 99+mph thru T9!

Very nice driving, Jaku! I was waiting for an S2K owner to post a video. I can't believe you're hitting 125mph through T8! Holy smokes! The best I can muster is 117 or 118mph.

Where do you think I am throwing time away, I could use some pointers. It was my first time at Big Willow and Im sure his Miata handles much better than my OEM suspension S2k.

Very smooth! Your corner exit speeds are definitely contributing to your fast lap time.

Next time exit Turn 9 at 105mph.

Watch Jaku's video:

http://vimeo.com/5385587

His line through Turn 5 is pretty solid. Brakes late, trails a bit, hugs the corner tightly, and sets up for Wide Open Throttle (WOT) all the way through Turn 8 topping out at nearly 125mph before Turn 9.

This was my 2nd time at Big Wllow, and I also have OEM suspension on 225/255 NT01. So except for the CR front lip and AP1 vs AP2 differences, our cars are pretty much identical. Looking at the video, here are some observations...

T1: you could take that turn much faster, as you're not tracking out all the way to the right (see 0:05-0:07). If you take that turn right, at the proper speed, you should barely be able to keep the car on track as you exit. I was taking that turn around 83-85mph.

T2: looks good except you're not hitting the apex, you're about 5 feet too wide (see 0:22-0:25). I was taking that turn around 85-90mph. Also, it looks like you're taking a constant radius on one half of that turn, then suddenly turning in a bit more to make the apex. It should be a constant radius turn throughout, so that your steering wheel is kept at the same place and you still make the apex and slowly unwind the steering wheel to track out.

T3: again, you missed the apex and turned in too late, going about 4 feet too wide (see 0:32-0:35). Also, You don't need to be so far to the left going up the hill (see 0:36-0:38), and you should clip that apex. When you exit from T3, you should be pointed straight toward the Budweiser sign.

T4: you missed the apex (see 0:41-0:45). You should really hug the apex of T4, because if you go wide, there is less banking there, so the car will oversteer and you can't get on the throttle as much. If you take this turn tight, you can use the banking to your advantage and carry more speed. I didn't need to brake at all through omega, and just used lift throttle oversteer to get me pointed toward the apex of T4.

T5: you turned in slightly early and sorta double-apexed that turn. It should be a single mid-apex turn (see 0:50-0:54), and you should be full-throttle at the apex all the way until you start braking for T9. There is a bit of camber change here, and the car tends to oversteer a bit.

T6: the fact that you were able to set up your car all the way to the left going into T6, means that you did not exit T5 properly with the right speed. I think it is because you tried to hug T5 (see 0:54).

T9: I can't really tell, as I am struggling with this part myself. I start turning in to T9 at about 83mph, and hit the cone at around 90mph. I know I can take this turn 10mph faster.

Here are my G2X plots during my Time Attack session. In my first hot lap, I went in way too hot, went sideways and barely saved it. The rest of that lap was really good. In my second hot lap, I lost grip in T2 for some reason and slid too much in T5 (maybe my tires were overheating because I had just run in white group previously during the driver's meeting), and that cost me; I tried to be brave going into T9, braking later and carrying more speed, but my apex speed was too slow. My theoretical fast lap if I combined the best parts of my two hot laps would be 1:37.252. On well, next time.

Yellow line: 1st hot lap (1:38.543)
Magenta line: 2nd hot lap (1:38.408)

Wow Nam thanks for the detailed critique. I have alot to work on as usual. I thought this track was fast and fun. I'm having a hard time finding the right lines. I thank you for the advice and I look forward to more seat time.
