Default 03 -> 04 motor swap = SSM?

Hey guys, I started AX last year with the ORPCA too late in the season to run for points, but did very well in my stock 2003 AP1. Then in September we had a little mishap and blew the motor. I found a 2004 AP2 motor and had it swapped in, so now am I in SSM? I had the shop do a bunch of other upgrades because it was taking way too long to get the ECU setup working and I didn't want to waste down time. Need my car every day. So what class do you think I'm in with this setup?

I can definitely put the cat back on for meets if the test pipe is an issue.

Performance

  • AP2 Motor & Transmission
  • ACT Streetlite Flywheel
  • Exedy Stage 1 Clutch
  • Hondata FlashPro with [AP1 + AP2 + RSX] & dyno tune
  • Password JDM Carbon Kevlar Intake
  • Somekinda 60mm Testpipe
  • Tanabe Medalion Touring Exhaust

Handling

Safety

  • Hard Dog Double Diagonal Roll Bar wrapped in black leather
  • Schroth Profi-II 6-HANS harness (black)
  • HANS device

Track Day Extras

  • Cobalt Brake Pads: CRB-XR2-D829-16.5MM, CRB-XR2-D536-15.0MM
  • Somekinda 60mm Testpipe

You can run it in B-street prepared. the AP1 to AP2 drivetrain swap is covered under update/backdate rules. Nothing else on your list would bump you out of street prepared. Many SCCA regions run "Tire" classes, which would put you in TBSP with a 1.8-2.0% PAX adjustment. One very common item that will bump you out of Street Prepared is bumpsteer kits. SSM is mostly boost-buggies, like Robert Thorne's 600+WHP AP2 on 345 Hoosiers!

It looks like it has been a while since anyone posted in this thread. Just wanted to update information, as of 2019 the S2000 (non CR) has been moved from BS to CS in SCCA Autocross Rules.

I feel that was an adequate move to put some pressure on the ND's.
