Hey guys,

What seat rail & mount do you guys recommend for a Sparco Evo2 seat? I would like to go as low as possible. I have a roll bar also.

I know this doesnt answer your question but how does the evo2 fit? does it rub on the door or trans tunnel? how about the center door?

PCI fixed mount works well however the inner rear bolt is a struggle if you are tall and need the seat all the way back. The outer is easy with really long socket extensions and top down or off.

There is also the custom option.

I'm 6-1 so i'm 1-2 clicks away from full rear without the roll bar

I got PCI fixed (adjustable, non-slider) mounts and have a couple of Sparco Ergo Mediums on their way. I'm 6'2" so hoping to go as low as possible.

I'm curious to hear how those seats work out for you! I have a Ergo Large that I started a project to fit into the car, which I never completed. I'm not sure if it's possible. But the seat is super comfortable, fits me perfectly, and actually has the shoulder belt holes at the right height for me, so I really hope I can make it work. I recall the Medium is significantly smaller, so I think you'll be ok with that one.

Same here. I took a very long time to figure out what seats I fit properly in vs what seats fit into the car. The selection is pretty limited, as you know!

I felt great in the Ergo Large as well, like you said the shoulder belt pass-throughs were actually in the right spot if not a bit high. But looking up the dimensions and measuring the car, I didn't think the Large would go in very easily. Then I found out that Sparco makes a Medium and upon checking the dimensions, they seemed to be a good fit for both me and the car. I tried the Medium out in a fellow enthusiast's 240Z and decided to pull the trigger!

Shipping is taking forever but I hope to have them next week. I'll try to post up and report on fitment.

I have a Sparco Evo 2 and I'm planning on running BC rails for it. I gave serious consideration to Ballade rails but they're not sure they'll fit the seat and cost significantly more. The nice thing about the BC rails is they have arguably the most adjustability with the 2 piece side brackets. The downside of course is that they aren't as sturdy as one piece side brackets. I'll have a friend reweld the BC rails so I'm not too worried about the reports of poor welds. I'm not in a rush to install them but will post in this thread when I eventually do.

It doesn't seem like too many people have EVO 2's vs regular EVOs and recaro/bride seats. Sparco's naming convention with their EVO 2/EVO 2 plus, Evo plus is as clear as mud though, so sometimes you may not be comparing apples to apples with an older version of an evo 2..

Figured this might help. I'm 6'3" 210 lbs and have a Ballade sports V2 roll bar, which is a little tight on headroom clearance compared to other bars.
I got my Evo 2 to fit, but barely. and it required some offset sidemounts and welding 2x3/16" flat steel to the front of them to make an integrated floor and seat mount. I had to install a bolt in the right rear hole and drill a hole in the body with a backing plate.

Even after trimming the fiberglass on the seat the only Way I can get the seat in and out is to install the inside mount onto the seat, while its out of the car, and install the door side mount in the car. Slip the seat in, get the bolts in to the chassis (rear is a stud with a nut and backing plate on the bottom) and then I'm able to slip the seat mounting bolts into the door side mount and get them threaded and tight. It's a serious PITA but it does work, and even with a 330mm diameter 90mm offset steering wheel I'm able to see the entire tach, and pass the broomstick test with the padding in the seat.


Photos are before paint and cleanup, ran out of gas on the welder mid way through of course. The seat touches the rollbar and rear shelf area, it took a ton of measuring and about 6 hours to get it all right. But it fits perfect, the bottom fiberglass is only about 1/8" off the carpet and it couldn't be closer to the back. I'm really happy with it.
