Source for KWV3 Compatible Springs?

I've always bought KW springs for my KWV3s but wanted to see what other springs are available. Any of you guys running other than KW springs?

Thanks in advance,

Rob

I'd stick with Hyperco or Swift and of those two I still hear the Swifts being superior. I've seen a number of guys run the Swifts on KW's as well. The 60mm ID ones fit perfect. They are light blue in color and probably what I will be putting on my Clubsports.

Any 5.5" or 6" free length, 60mm I.D. spring. We use Hyperco...

Yup, I have hyperco springs on mine. Same fit as the kws but cost less.
Check the BMW forums, they use the same diameter and length on on the e36.

Cool, thanks guys. Any recommended vendors for the Hypercos and Swifts?

I use swift 12kg, 60mm on my KW Club Sports.

I like the response very much. They feel more consistent and the transient response gives excellent compliance so the increase of 100 lbs over the 570 lbs/inch KW dose not feel any more harsh.

The KW's are 62mm Id and the Swifts fit snug but no problem.

You need to adjust for the spring height difference. KW is 5.5" and Swift is 6". Also easily done.

I think Evasive sells the Swift ones and you can specify your spring rates.

I've used Behrents before.

There is also a popular spring sell/trade/buy thread here - link. Just google the question they ask when registering for the forum.

Contact terry@fortune-auto.net He's local to me (around Richmond, VA) and stocks a good amount of the 60mm ID Swift springs in various rates and sizes. I'm sure he could help you out.

I believe Swift rates their springs as 10k, 12k, etc not lbs/in so you'll need to do the math. I recently contacted him about various 6" tall 60mm ID springs for my Clubsports varying from 10k-13k and he said they were all in stock.

Again, thanks guys for all the info.
