A-Stock Autocross, Motul Brake Fluid not allowed?
I'm about to change my pads and fluid... I know pads are eligible, but can we run Motul RBF 600 or do we have to run Stock Brake Fluid to qualify for A-Stock?
I didn't see anything regarding fluid in the rule book so I guess we must run stock but just double checking... :D Thanks. -Ed |
Changing fluids is legal.

Not like it really matter, you aren't going to boil the stock fluid anyways auto-xing.

I've run out of brakes on a stock S2000 autocrossing before. Maybe you're just not driving hard enough. :)

I've boiled stock fluid on the street and would certainly do so on an auto-x course.

I'm on street tires and I've ran out of brakes autocrossing also...and this is my first season!
...I punish my car...but it likes it :D |
**Insert foot into mouth**
I've never auto-x, so I wasn't speaking from experience, I just didn't think you do enough hard braking to boil the fluid. |
I haven't yet at 7,000 miles, although at my first event or two the stock brake pads got pretty stinky. I have Cobalt GT Sport brake pads now, no problems with fade or mushy pedal since the switch.
