Default Stock cat + Turn Down

Anyone run a turn down on the back of the stock cat? I have two questions about this setup.

Are the stock exhaust hangers adequate? Seems like I'd need to add an exhaust hanger.

How are the noise levels? Would I pass at an autocross or roebling road? I've heard a CR with the stock exhuast cut off just after the resonator and a turndown placed there, and the noise was reasonable.

I know I won't make any power, just looking to save weight.

Stock hangers work fine to hold the exhaust up - I didn't need another one so I don't see any reason why you would.

Not sure on the sound levels. It's not bad at all outside of the car, but inside the car is an entire other story. Really bad drone if you're using a stock catalytic converter, or any cat for that matter. It's really manageable with a test pipe (not sure if your class allows for this though)

I had mine flanged so it was easily reversible. Takes about 15 minutes to swap the mufflers on/off.

My "turn-down" was long enough that I used the hanger on the mid-pipe, and the turn-down went just past the axle. With stock header and cat, it was 93-94db at 50ft depending on the meter and where on course it was placed. I certainly wouldn't drive it on the street for much of a distance that way, the highway drone would be insane.
