Oh wow, that's pricey. I thought for some reason they were in the $1950 range.

You're correct!

I'm pretty sure that is not correct. You may want to call them and ask but I think at most 2%.

I believe the 2% claim is referenced to the ST40, not stock. The actual difference is 7-8% more than the ST40 depending on the height of the pad. The Evasive site calls out a DR21 pad shape. The pad height isn't called out so I initially estimated it at 40 mm. Just now measuring on my screen indicates it's closer to 41.5 mm. I've updated the spreadsheet and if anyone has access to pads and can provide a real measurement, please let me know.

Putting it all together (math is in the spreadsheet), the C43 BBK generates 7% more brake torque than the ST40 and 12% more than stock. Again the math is all in the spreadsheet - if there's a mistake I'm happy to correct it, but I think it's accurate. It's pretty basic physics.

What spreadsheet? Show me your math. The pad annulus is 40mm. I would just call them and ask because it't not always that basic believe it or not. They are very helpful.

Thanks for clarifying the pad height. I've reset to 40 mm in the spreadsheet. The link is in my first post but here it is again for convenience.

With all due respect to Stoptech, their numbers should be close to the math - if not, then something is not right. Sometimes the information gets altered as it transfers from engineers to marketing people. I've had that happen far too often in my professional life to just accept numbers when they don't align with basic math and physics. Again, if you don't mind, please review the math in my spreadsheet and if there's an error, I'm happy to fix it.

FYI, I'll leave it to others to call if they choose. I already have a BBK

Hymm not sure. I think your math is correct but like I said I am willing to bet there are other factors as they are designed to work with OE rears and not throw off the balance. They did tell me that the force point isn't always assumed to be at the center of the pad. Looking at the sheet though I am pretty certain the Spoon's piston size is off. I measure mine at about 36 & 40mm.
Thanks,
Brook

Just out of curiosity, why is this limited to 00-05. What is different about the 06+ that these will not work?

I'm sure you are correct that the center of the force point is not the center of the pad, but I think it's a good enough approximation when we're comparing kits where the rotor diameter and pad height don't change very much. I think to get the exact center we'd need to define the shape of the pad and integrate across the area. Not sure my calculus skills were good enough when I was in school, and they have only atrophied since

Changing the piston diameter to 36 and 40 makes a significant difference: the front bias drops to 7% which is 2 percentage points more than the ST40 kit. So that's probably the issue - the website data is inaccurate.

it isn't. But you need a slightly different kit because the brake lines are different
