1. Reprogrammed ECU (via hardware and/or software) may be used in the standard housing
Yep, still BSP for me...

I could be wrong but that's not why Kpro isn't legal. Under the new rule Kpro would be legal as it is piggy backed off the stock ecu. It is illegal because you have to change sensors and valve covers out to 06+ or rsx parts.

Dont quote me, but from my understanding (and not having the rules in front of me here at work) since KPro uses sensors (cam and crank) and valve cover from 06-07 S2000 it is ok. But the issue arises in the fact that the S2000 ECU is completely replaced by the ECU from an RSX.

I have the single ECU Kpro. I think the dual ECU KPro is only for 06+.

If you could migrate the RSX ECU guts to the S2000 housing then it would be legal? I think so.

Didnt think about that, but it makes sense. So long as the sensor/valve cover swap is ok by the rules.

Unfortunately, no. The RSX ECU requires sensor changes (cam and crank position?) that are not legal per the STR rules.

See details here - Hondata S2000 K-Pro.

Finally got the PDF to download on my work computer, and as nmrado and slowd16 stated it would not be allowed becuase of the Sensor/Valve cover swap (and according to the new rules I would still have to swap the RSX/KPro internals into the S2000 ECU housing, if that is even possible).

It is not allowed by the catch all in 13.1/14.1

13.1 AUTHORIZED MODIFICATIONS
If a modification is not specifically authorized in this or previous sections
of these Rules, it is not allowed.
14.1 AUTHORIZED MODIFICATIONS
All Solo Rules Stock Category allowances, plus all allowances contained
in 14.1 through 14.10.

It is not specifically authorized so therefore it is not authorized . Not really any sweat of my back though, I'm nowhere near a nationally competitive driver anyway. I'll just keep playing with everyone at the regional level until I get rich one day and can actually prep my car for SP.

Ah thought they were all dual ecu setups.

The only possible way I could see this working is under the update/backdate rules. But doesnt that have to be the entire car or everything you can replace? I also realize that the ST u/b rules are much less clear than the SP ones. SP actually states that if they are listed on the same line (which the s2000 is) in the appendix class list then they are considered the same car. How do the u/b rules work in ST?
