SP actually states that if they are listed on the same line (which the s2000 is) in the appendix class list then they are considered the same car. How do the u/b rules work in ST?
There isn't that allowance in ST. If it doesn't say you can, you cannot (kind of like holes in the hood in SP...)

I use block off plates of the same gauge aluminum as the hood.

The new pnp wouldn't be legal even though the two tuners do the same exact thing

That is one expensive piggyback... any advantage to running the Haltech vs. an EMS as a piggyback?

I think that is wishful reading. I would interpret '1. Reprogrammed ECU (via hardware and/or software) may be used in the standard housing' as being reprograming by replacing IC chips on the existing ECU board, not replacing the entire ECU board with a completely different one.

Is the board not hardware?

Problem is the RSX ECU requires non-STR legal changes outside the stock box...

The board is hardware, but, it is not 'reprogramming the ecu' it is replacing the ecu.

We still drive just a Honda. A couple grand for a piggy back and a few hp is just a waste of money IMO.

I have a pre tuned Giles emange that I bought used and it works like a champ. Call me cheap but I'll keep the $1k+ I saved for other mods to the car
