STR wannabe in BSP
Here's how I stacked up at Nationals.
Besides coming in DFL in BSP, here's how I stack up to other classes:
41/46 in STU
31/42 in STX
29/46 in STS
29/38 in ST
55/57 in AS
I have a feeling that, after ~200 street miles and 4 runs on the test-n-tune track, that my tires were still not broken in yet.
Also, as the AS guys know, there was a lot of OPR (other people's rubber) laid down, and BSP ran last, so even I was picking up a large amount of rubber, and I'm not sure if a layer of hoosier rubber is better than the original rubber. I even have a layer of rubber on my shoes from walking the course before the third heat.
However, I still managed to put down 1.11 lat Gs, not far behind my Nitto track setup.
So for next year, probably more rear camber, maybe lighter wheels, intake, lighter battery, DIY exhaust. That's about it. I don't expect to win, but I do expect to be at least a mid pack guy.
Here's some data to look over.

I should add, for those that don't know, that I have CR springs/shocks (no plan to upgrade), SPC front ball joints, Saner sway on 4th hole, no rear bar, AP2 rears x 4, agressive alignment ( camber).

Well, you and I have something in common- DFL! I was competing in SM in my STI that was beyond underprepared (car has stock suspension, a tune but on stock motor/turbo, Hankooks not Hoosiers, and so on). I couldn't be there to run Thursday/Friday and just wanted to see Nationals after hearing so much about it, so I went Mon-Tues and had no choice but to run in SM. I figured it wouldn't matter since my car was underprepared to even be competitive in BSP or STU with no suspension. I was absolutely SMOKED in SM, nowhere even near the competition's pace. It was a hell of a good time just the same though!
Did all of those classes you are comparing to run the courses under similar conditions? Specifically weather? When we ran the east course on Tuesday it still had wet patches in spots. Watching SS run that course in the pouring rain that morning was quite a site. Half the runs were DNF's!
