Streets is tire based. You need fresh/good rubber to go fast.
It's also easier to overdrive this track and most people are inconsistent as hell. Autocrossers will likely destroy most drivers here.

Without tracktime I can't comment on them as far as ultimate grip.
They are grippy, however bear in mind I have about 100-120 miles on the set as a whole.
I am not liking feedback so much - they are not very direct. A bit mushy to be exact - but the grip just fooling around on the streets is definitely there.
Huge plus however is for everyday commuting they are incredibly quiet and comfortable. On the freeway I can change lanes without this jolt feeling when you ride over the bumpstops that divide the lanes. It's actually really amazing how nice they ride.
I'll know more Sunday for sure - and I'll update the thread with impressions. So far I am very hopeful. Without getting them up to temp I think they can hang with the z1 for sure.

nice to know, I look forward to your review. Im trying to decide between the new Z2 or the re11a, from past reviews it seems the old re11's are not affected much by heat cycling and are typically consistent in handling/grip till the end of their life, im wondering if the re11a will have this characteristic...only time will tell...

Mostly though the pricing right now will not last long. There is currently an 80$ rebate so once that introductory period is over you can forget getting them at the current price. If you're willing to drive to San Gabriel for a set, I can get them for you 732 mounted. Just PM me by Friday.
