not nearly as cool, tho an electric arial is sweet too.
tesla updated thier website. http://www.teslamotors.com/ Who's got 85k to burn? |
I've been watching this car for a while now.
It is very nice. It'll be 85K if we're lucky. Also the battery lasts 100k miles then it's 20k for a new battery. Fine for those who have money for such a toy. But what's most important, is that cars like this are being put into production. It won't be long before electric cars are made for much less, and that they can indeed give us the performance we need! |

did you smack yourself in the arm while typing this like a true junkie?
Did you see it can go 250 miles regardless of acceleration. That's good for a day at the track. You can plug it in between run session, and races. I wonder how it will hold up to the heat and abuse of track driving. |

Track time would definitely get less than 250 |
I'm sure your right. I don't think it'll get a full 250 at the track.
However, the tech specs show 80% efficency at peak power. If this really does get 250 out of a full charge, then 80% is 200 miles per charge at peak power. So if the cars does what they claim, then 200 miles at the track will still be a good strat for a car like this. |
