Default Took Suzi to the strip today!

I dont know if this is the right section for this or not(mods please move if need be and forgive me!)
So I went to Firebird speedway for Run what you Brung night! I have a 02 stock s2k. The 1 pass was my best out of 8.
I ran a 15.025
r/t-.853
60'-2.3
1/8-9.8@73
1/4-15.025 @ 95.19
It was pretty close to what i expected. I was trying to break into the 14's all night but couldnt get there. In fact i finished off the night with a 16.4 pass. Thats when i said i was done. Anyway now i know where i am at and can build from there. I cant decide if I want to go turbo or just juice it on the track. Anyway let me know what you think.

Thats not too bad at all for stock. I liked drag racing. I would like to try a scca event also. I do trackdays on my bike and thats a blast. I am sure it would be just as fun going around in a s2k.

thank you

Track days in the S are as fun if not more fun than the bike especially when it's a 100 degrees and you're wearing a thick leather suite. Although my wife still prefers the bike, I think because she felt like she was a part of the action where the car she's just sitting in the seat.

Thats sweet that your wife rides. I can barely get my wife on the back of the bike to go down the street. O well, she is starting to come around and wants to learn how to drive a stick. So i guess well start there.

I instructed for two years and then started the mass destruction on my house then bought the S and haven't taken the bike on the track since.. Might get a touring bike or something like that down the road.

Firebird speedway as in Firebird international Raceway in AZ? I saw you run! LOL I was like look there's a suzuka, and he ran 15.3 I was a bit disappointed to see that, but when my buddies hit the track themselves, it was easy to see why you would have done so poorly. Almost every car spun, especially in the right lane, and it was still hot, even though it was cool compared to temps in the day. I was with the SC G35 (14.xx @ 106 mph), Trailblazer SS (14.03), GMW M3 (V8 e36 race car, 12.90). I didn't have my car though. p.s. Check out the AZ forum and come out to the meets sometime
