Torque Wrench Recommendations
Don't try to run the torque wrench near its maximum all the time. My friend had a Mac digital 3/8 rated for 100 lb and it broke on him before my 1/2 harbor freight
Get a 1/2 for the lugs and get a 3/8 for any engine type of work. You'll use the 1/2 for chassis and other big stuff

For lug nuts I prefer the Precision Instruments C3FR250F. It's not spring loaded and can be stored at a torque setting.
BTW, I have the aforementioned 3/8" CDI, this 1/2" Precision, a 1/2" Snap-On and a few broken Craftsman Micros.

Sorry guys, I should've mentioned what I was going to be using the 3/8" for. I'm planning on keeping the 1/2" around for lugs and such because specific torque values don't matter much there. I am wanting a better quality 3/8" torque wrench to handle engine work and anything delicate. After snapping a valve cover bolt I figured it's time to invest in something that can give me a little assurance while working on the engine.

Another vote for Precision Instruments. I have several of theirs, and they are very nice tools.
