Track Day at Sebring, Dec 31

Don't miss the last Chin Motorsport event of 2000, a day on the track at Sebring. This is a "driver's education day", designed to allow sports car owners to safely learn about the performance limits of their car. Instructors are provided to novices, and a special 30 minute novice session allows new drivers to learn the course. The rest of the day is open track (the full 12 hour course!), and since the number of participants is limited, it is easy to get away from traffic ... if desired

I will be out of the country that weekend, but if anyone is considering going I can't recommend this enough. I went to the last one and it is very well done, with all the track time you could want. Great people, great track, and just the right number of cars. Have fun folks!

The event organizer, Wei-Shen Chin, just informed me that there are still some spaces left. He is encouraging S2000 participation (3 S2Ks are signed up so far). Let's show those NSX drivers that the S2000 is a formidable track ride. Why not end the Old Year the right way!

So, is this going to be a dialogue between Ole and myself? Let's get some more S2000s up to Sebring this weekend! If nothing else, drive on over and enjoy the show. I'll be happy to give you a passenger experience if you wish!

Happy New Year!
Just to end 2000 on a high note, I had another fun day at Sebring last Sunday! I learned some new lines and got a little faster. It was very cold (for Sebring at any rate
) with frost on the cars, but the day was clear and beautiful. Just make sure to warm up those SO2s before getting on it hard 
. I met the owner of a new silver bullet, and hope to see Dave hang out here a bit. On to the photos ...

The red racecar, #200. Sorry, the "2" had just blown off, and the masking tape "0" replaced a number lost on an earlier run. Guess I'll have to slow down.
And, if you're lucky, your friend will let you drive his car!
