Default Track video of night event at FIR Main Course

Here you go :

This was my first time on this track and I hadn't been on track for more than 6 months. I didn't have an instructor ride with me so I had to learn the lines mostly by myself but it rained the sessions before, or it was too crowded. I felt like I was much faster on this session than any of the ones in the day. But constructive criticism is always welcome.

The car made 215 whp and has BuddyClub N+ coilovers with Nitto NT05 235/40/17 F and 255/40/17 R mounted on RPF1s. I didn't feel the nittos give at all, they felt glued to the pavement! The car still had stock brake pads though and weighed in at 2840 lbs with me in the car.

In the video, you can see me sloshing around in my seat while turning, I even selected a wrong gear while doing this (at slow speeds) Maybe a seat and harness is in order next when the funds allow it, but this is my daily driver.

Thank you, hope you enjoyed Please be sure to leave some tips for next time.

2840lbs with you in it. What have you done to drop weight other than wheels and exhaust? I know my car is under 2800lbs but definitely not with me in it.

Video looks good though. Looks like there were a few spots were you could have pushed the car harder and also a few spots you could have braked much later. I've never been on track with oem pads so for all I know that was the best the car could do.

The exhaust, header, no spare or tools and that's it. Without me in it, it's 2700 lbs and that's with almost a full tank of gas.

It seems like I could have got on the power a little earlier, especially getting on the straight and I could have definitely braked earlier, but I guess I was a little "afraid"

Thank you.

Mostly due to intake, exhaust, test pipe tuned on emanage blue. I'd add the header in there too but I doubt it helped out in power.

nice car and driving. i think if it were day time, it would have been easier for you to push harder. the most important thing is that you enjoyed your time.

thanks for sharing

Actually, this session was where I pushed the car the most. I think it may have been because there were less distractions and it was easier to stay consistent because I had to drive with my head and not just my eyes.

But thank you

Coming down the main straight, you can brake way harder and later. You can probably shave off about 1-2 seconds right there. Braking harder for shorter periods of time as opposed to braking softer for longer actually keeps the brake temps down, making them last longer.

The track was not very well lit though... kinda spooky.
