Great vid- what kind of camera did you film it with?

I love the course. I'd be braking early and taking it easy too on a track that dark. I have never run at night, and I am not sure I want to after seeing that vid!

I love the g-force indicator aka rear-view tassle wahahaa.

I don't have any track experience, but I would definitely take the graduation tassel off the rear view mirror. Maybe I'm more easily distracted, but it would really annoy me.

Cool video, looks like fun. That GTR hauls on the straights.

Thank you it was a panasonic mini DV camera. lol @ G-force meter!

Coming down the main straight, you can brake way harder and later. You can probably shave off about 1-2 seconds right there. Braking harder for shorter periods of time as opposed to braking softer for longer actually keeps the brake temps down, making them last longer.

The track was not very well lit though... kinda spooky.
I'll have to keep that in my mind next time. I was definitely a bit scared of braking at the end of the straight due to my rear brakes wearing out and being only on stock pads. Also, without an instructor with me when I drove (first time ever on this track) I didn't know the braking points very well. But thank you for your input, I appreciate it.

The infield and the turn after the straight was not well lit at all, but from what I hear, it was better than last year

It really doesn't bother me too much because I guess since you're looking so far ahead that you don't notice things that close to you. I remember riding with my instructor (in my car in DE3) and a Corvette happened to tag the wall in front of us and my instructor didn't even notice since he was looking much further ahead. As we got closer to the car, he yells "Corvette just hit the wall!"

I've autocrossed in AZ at night, but never done a track at night. That's got to be a little crazy.

The light came on for oil pressure being too low during vtec, this is due to the e-manage tricking the ECU that oil pressure is high enough to engage vtec, but the ECU isn't always that stupid lol, and I had another for o2 sensor reading lean, which could've been from leaky exhaust. I don't remember how many leds were on, but it was normal operating temp. Also, my light came on after I went off the track a little bit, maybe the bump triggered or shook something to make it come on. The car drove fine after and a valve adjustment was performed a little later.

Come down to AZ next time for the night event! If we get enough people interested, then we can make it into a "FUN IN THE SUN" meet.
