Tracking with OEM hardtop mounts
Couldn't find anything on the search. I'd like to swap out my more permanent hardtop mounts with the OEM hardtop strikers/latches. Has anyone tracked with these? Any concerns/recommendations?

Been doing it since I bought the CR in 2014. The chassis flexes and loosens the OEM mounts slightly to create a bit of a squeek/rattle. Beyond that they appear fine. That said, I'm probably going to go for a permanent mount. If they are required for SM they probably have a good reason.

Yes. Ran mine with OEM hardware for years without any issue. The bolt in options squeak far more than the OEM hardware, so be prepared for a ton of rattles/squeaks... partly due to the terrible seals people use for the non-OEM tops, and partly due to the mounting hardware

The OEM hard top with OEM mounts has been on my car since 2008. With tracking and regular driving, it's been fine. I've driven other's with OEM everything and without tracking and they have the same annoying squeaks and rattles that I have.

Get some Ballade or PLMs.
I added some Ballade mounts with the no soft top option as part of my Winter weight savings project.

Anyone know if I can run the hard brackets with a soft top up?
