Default Trick to bypass seat belt light/receptacle on '06+

Question is regarding an '06+

Ok, so I'm installing an aftermarket seat and harness and wondered if there's a way to "hack" the oem seat belt receptable into thinking the seat belt is plugged in at all times. Reason being on track I don't want to have to hear that annoying beeping to remind me to plug in my seat belt even though I'm wearing a harness. I plan on keeping my oem 3 points for the street. I can't be the first to do this. My car is an '06 and has 3 wires, which apparently is different than 00-05's. If anyone can help me out I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

In for an answer out of curiosity. I used a paperclip in my '05.

I thought about that but would prefer something a little less ghetto if possible. I guess I'll try leaving it unplugged but I'd be surprised if it doesn't throw some sort of error light for the srs system.

Do you not get a light on your dash from leaving the harness unplugged?

00-05 we can just unplug the connector and it keeps the light off. 06+ have some weight sensor thing and is more complicated. Not sure the process since I have a 04. Might want to update title to say 06+.

Thanks, I updated the thread. To clarify, I know with the seat position sensor that has to remain in place under the seat. I will unbolt it from the oem seat and let it sit there. The question with the seat belt receptacle isn't clear though. I guess worst case I could just leave it plugged in underneath the seat but if I can just leave it unplugged at the harness and/or just need to jump some wires to trick it, that'd be preferable. Thanks.

A seat belt extender costs like $20.

If only a seat belt extender worked for me..

To provide some background, I'm installing a Recaro Pole position ABE with BC rails. The OEM belt buckle is actually too long, so I need a shorter one. At this point I'd like to not touch my oem buckle and leave it on my oem seat if possible. The two options are I hack my OEM one up via cutting it shorter, redrill a 17mm hole, and bending it, or I find another buckle out of another car (but that won't have the same wiring) and toss my oem buckle under the seat with a latch inserted.
