I don't want the funky battle areo bike rack also don't want to give up my trunk or the ability to drive in the rain. If anyone has ideas I would love to hear it.
You need the wider bases for the taller stands. Here is my car:

In addition to height, Manic's black car seems to be running more aero devices (canards, hood vents, diffuser, bottom panels); could he be running more downforce? King Tut's yellow car (have to love 333/TT3, someone should write a country/western song) also seems to have a significantly wider wing; the span between the end plates and struts seems much larger.

I have the 67" and he might have the 61". I know that topping out the car in 6th gear at Road Atlanta put a significant bend in the trunk in the entire area of the bases.

Which part numbers are you referring to? Thanks in advance!

Direct from APR. I started with the shorter stands and standard pedestals and when I called up to get the taller stands they said I also had to buy the wider pedestals.
