UOA: Motul 5w-40 F22

Posting for informational purposes. All track time was at Roebling. Oil was Motul 5w-40 and filter was OEM. No oil cooler.

That's great to see Motul doing its job. I recently started running the same oil. I'd be curious to see what the oil cooler can offer in terms of the life cycle of this oil. I run the mishimoto oil cooler on my car.

Just curious why you're using the 5w40 vs 5w30?

I imagine to compensate a little for the oil thinning out at track temperatures.

Yea I figured it was probably a good idea to run a touch thicker since I don't have a cooler. It gets hot in FL.

Ah, Florida. That would explain it! :tipwink:

probably would be a good idea for us NE folks too during the summer months. its kind of ridiculous up here with this weather. admittedly i dont know what im looking at in this report. but it seems everyone likes it so it must be good.
