Default What oil for FI racing application

In our NA S2000 and Civic road racing car, I have been using Mobil 1 10w40/30

Recently bought a WRX for winter and have been hearing about the Mobil's breakdown during the heat of FI applications. The Subaru guys swear by Rotella T6.

Wondering what the FI S2000 guys run / ran for engine oil.

Slinkydog, Krazik, Blackey, Crash? Thoughts?

I have been using redline 10/30 or 20/50 depending on my mood.
I know Rylan had run regular old castrol and just changed it every weekend. which I have done a few times as well.

I think with how often we change our oil its not as big of a deal as a street driven car

Either way I have always been a fan of redline oils

I always ran Castrol 10w-40 full synthetic but my engine builder does not like Castrol and he likes 5w oil because of the tight engine tolerances and high RPM of Honda and Acura engines. He recommends the expensive stuff like Royal Purple and Motul so I'm running RP 5w-30 racing oil.

I used to have an 09 STI, and the main one that burns is mobil 1 5w30, for whatever reason. That specific formula. The Xw40 grades seem ok. That being said, I ended up using 5w40 T6 rotella. It's what I still use in my s2000

Edit: forgot to mention that my STI saw some hpde track days too. No problems with burning oil in 98F weather, although Idid have cooling issues. On Track temps were around 110F

Edit2: also, definitely get an air oil seperator or at least an oil catch can. Subies are prone to blow by and are very sensitive to it also.

I use German Castrol in my Subaru and Motul 5w-40 in my S2000.

Motul engine oil and gear oil is at the top.

Shad at driving Ambition uses this in all the S2K and NSX both track and street and has done a lot of testing and comparisons to Motul vs other oils.

Motul is constantly improving their oils especially the racing 300V line. It's a very widely used oil in the racing world.

I believe that is a mineral based oil.

I would recommend you use the Gear Competition 75W140 in the diff that Shad uses. Or at leaset the Grear 300 LS 75W90
