If I told yall they raced with Kumho Victoracers would you believe me? True, Kumho took over the tire sponsership at the last moment and was supposed to supply V710s, but couldnt come up with enough for everybody so they used the Victoracers, and the racers had to pay full retail for them. Congrats to S2000 owner Jason Saini !!

Looks like the Victoracers are the official tire. Wonder if the compound has changed?

What's it matter if it's changed if everyone's on the same compound regardless? They could all be on Federals and it wouldn't change the racing much once they got the setup dialed in.

Victoracers are well known to be relatively poor track tires, especially to last a full session much less qualifying + race, and they do make a better R-compound. Just seems to make more sense that they would use/promote their best tire unless this one has been improved to not have problems.
But maybe that changes when you have a really light, low HP Miata on top of the tires.

Kumho does plan to switch to the V710s when they get enough of them to bring to a race. Next week in Atlanta it will be the Victoracers again.. What is funny is that the race announcer said they were using the "New V710" when in truth they were not.
