Pirelli seems to have made the Trofeo R available in a wide range of new sizes. Anyone given them a go yet on the S2000? |
Holy hell 60 tread wear!

better hurry TireRack only has 9 in stock

Crazy these are OEM tires for the new Z28. Sounds like they get to the first oil change before wearing them out lol. Fun experiment likely, but probably get old replacing tires every 5k miles.

I've tried them....... on a Z28. They're hilariously grippy, obviously, but I'm not sure I could apply my experience to this discussion, purely because the Camaro has a 305 section tire front and rear. They were pretty decent in the rain, though, and I think they lasted my friend in the neighborhood of 7000 miles with constant rotating and monitoring tire pressures. I too was thinking about getting them, but I'm not sure they're worth the price over the usual street tire competitors. They look pretty cool, though! lol

I recently purchased a set for track sessions, pretty grippy, although I'm not sure they are quite, NT01 grip. Then again I'm new to the s2k, previously had a k20 EG hatch, so i'm working on a new set of normal now.
For the street, I can say, they are amazingly quite compared to normal R compounds and they held up very well on track, not a ton of wear in the 6 sessions over the weekend. I can see them lasting through a long amount of track only sessions or quite a few miles. |
They aren't that great nor were they weren't that great as an OE for the Camaro either. There's much better options for a track/street tire.

I haven't tried them, but they are supposed to be pretty good, and they don't really have much price premium at all in the 255/40/17 size over 200TW tires. |
