actually it (on skim) looks just like the mazdaspeed. auto-x counts so you "lapping guys" just need to compete in 2 auto-x events a year.

Only US residents qualify though 
MazdaSpeed includes Canada as well. I wrote an email to them regarding expanding the program to cover Canada, and have encouraged others to do so as well.
