Hey he bought the car with 30,000 miles. He has had it for 3 years and now has 150,xxx miles. It runs great and he claims to get 30 mpg's on the highway so it must not be too bad.
I never put my car in the redline. I take it to 8 and than i shift right away so i may be losing some speed because I am not maximizing rpms.
The intake probably won't cause the engine to self-destruct, however it does put the A/F ratios out of whack if you don't tune for it. Not only is it a waste of money, but it may cost him a few HP. A lot of WRX owners put them on their cars so they can hear the turbo and BOV ( ); removing the resonator is a much better idea.

Agree. A bone stock 09' WRX ran a 12.9x in the 1/4.

Edit: Here's the timeslip. 104mph trap, the S2000 doesn't have a chance.
not totally true...my ap2 with intake, tespipe, and 3" exhaust traps 103-104 range...

from a dig itll be impossible but on a roll its a pretty even race..

a fellow tech at work has a 05 sti with 3" exhaust from 40-120 we are pretty much even...

Who said anything about mods? Also your car runs REALLY good. Pretty uncommon to get trap speeds like yours. Most S2000s, even with bolt-ons will trap 102 at a good track.

I don't think you're following along too well. Start with the first post and reread the thread.

After we got home my brother commented on how I had to shift too much (his car is a 5 speed). Kinda funny

Its all a driver's race. Ran a buddy a while back with a 2.5 WRX w/JDM swap motor ran low 13s high 12s. He got me by a car in the HWY & I killed him off the line & he never caught up. All a driver's race.

did you read the post? is this wrx swapped? no its stock motor and they dont run 13s or 12s on a stock wrx motor, more like mid to high 14s. why would you even bring up the fact that you raced a swapped wrx? it has noting to do with this car in the topic since there runnning different motors.
