Default 06+ civic Si vs S2k

i just thought some of you guys would get a kick out these kids on 8thcivic.com because most of them think the Si is actaully equal or greater then the S2k.

New SI is a great car, stock for stock it doesnt stand a chance though...

The SI responds pretty well to mods it being a k-series. Full exhaust and a reflash and it could definately give the s2k a run for the money with a good driver.

lol, wow people are dumb im sorry but you need alot to be equal to a s in a si i raced a rsx type s with intake test pipe catback exhaust. I had my gf in the car and he was kpro'd, and I pulled on him by like 2 cars, yes I am a better driver but still would be close like that

Well a modded si can give us a run, just like we can give the bigger, badder cars a run. They have quite a bit of potential and they're lighter too, i think.

I race one of my local kids from a 35-40 who had an 06 si. All I had at the time was a test pipe. We were even for about 5 seconds since I was out of vtec. Then I just pulled away and I shut down early since he fell back.

Actually they weigh like 50 pounds more... Their only advantage is that they respond well to mods unlike our cars.

my buddies rsx-s has i/h/e/test pipe and a tune from a dig they will get destroyed (above average driver). on a roll my buddies rsx-s only lost by 1 car. i'm pretty sure a si will need way more parts and way more suspension upgrade to keep up with us stock.

Still, you have to wonder why there are some guys w/ s2k's that are putting the k20's in their s2ks.
