07 s2k vs GTR

So I was cruising on my regular canyon down here in sunny SoCal when I come up to a super wide body GTR with a swan neck gt wing. He was going a little slower than I was wanting to go so I did what I would always do, keep about a car length behind and hope the driver scoots over. He nails it (which I was secretly hoping for) and I gun it too. He guns it on a fairly long straight, maybe an 1/8 of a mile stretch before another turn and I lose him. This is all still uphill mind you. Next turn, surprisingly enough, I am right on his ass. After that straight it is nothing but 60-80 mph turns in a competent aggressive drivers hand. He starts double laning, fish tailed a little on one turn and immediately pulls to the opposite lane to let me pass. Very dangerous to do so, so I scream by him not to have him spend too much time on that lane. He attempts to keep up but he was about a corner and a half behind me now. I pull off at my usual turn out, he throws hazards on and a peace sign up. Good little respectful run (except for the double laning and pulling to the opposite lane to let me pass), seemed like a good driver too, car may not have been set up properly or was mainly a show car. Regardless this is a W in my eyes.

Always been a personal goal to take down high hp cars and I adore the GTR so it was especially sweet for me. Got a few interesting stories about m3's/m4's up in that canyon too. Next up, Porsche maybe?? :p

I've been shotgun in a GT-R staring at a CR in the side mirror....in the twisties....
That CR became real tiny in the straights!

Yea no denying that. He was a bullet coming out of turns was scary being in front of him for a bit.

I'm curious why he couldn't take you in the turn, or maybe he just had so much HP that he couldn't keep enough grip, and didn't want to take any risks?

^I'm sure it could it is just the driver not wanting to go as fast in the turns. Street mountain/canyon type races just show who is less afraid to go faster in the turns pretty much.
