I assumed a standard STI 60', 1.6 or 1.7, which explains the trap, but a 1.5 is possible with the stock RE070's if God is riding shotgun. I'm just ticked that he took the car to the track with such a low boost setting, he should be peaking at 23, and the new VF43 will hold good pressure at 20. This is easily an 11 second car on pump. The problem he's going to run into is the shift to 5th at 114/115 mph, and he'd do good to get a set of A048's with a slightly higher overall diameter to give him a slightly better 60', and a few more mph in 4th.

Apples to Oranges yes that is almost the same time my GTO runs.
12.14 with a 1.7 at 114mph. So the numbers plug in just wierd and awd
car and a rd car having all three numbers match.

wouldn't the taller gearing make normal acceleration slower than the pre MY07 models? Given the same hp/tq numbers, an 06 would probably pull on an 07 then up to 4th gear? (on the street, not on the 1/4 track.)

Sorry still not sold on the 07 STI being any quicker/stronger than the older models. All the numbers keep coming from one shop (Top Speed), which is known to have a very high reading dyno. Also who knows, maybe this STI was a factory freak, and what about the other STI they tuned which made even more power but only ran a 12.7@109mph, did you forget to mention that one. I'm not saying it's impossible, I knew one day STIs would close the gap with EVOs, but I'm not 100% sure that day has arrived. Until more 07 STIs start putting out similiar numbers from different shops, then 07 STI owners can say they make similiar power to 06-07 EVO IXs. I mean call me a grinch but even some STI owners question the numbers and don't believe everything they read. When 06 EVO IXs had to put down countless numbers of impressive dynos and run countless numbers of low 12s and high 11s (with bolt ons) before the EVO community considered it a fact, sorry but 07 STI owners are going to have to do the same.

I hate to bring a Mitsubishi/Subaru War to the S2000 forum, but I have to say it. I for one have just grown sick and tired of the Subaru Community, you guys by far talk the most sh*t and back nothing up. When ever there is some glimmer of hope, you guys just let the flood gates open, it is just sad. I mean I think the pivotal moment, was when we had our EVO vs. Subaru matchup a couple years back, and Big Valley and their Subaru STi placed first place (even though it didn't have the quickest or fastest time of the day) but EVOs placed 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th out of 20 cars. EVOs went first, second, third in the autocross and won the car show event. How in the #### you Subaru owners saw any light at the end of the tunnel off those results just amazes me. Subarus proved nothing, Big Valley proved a lot, but if they built EVOs, they'd be even faster. Now you guys don't even show up to the events, which I don't blame you, you know your gonna lose.
Now the 07 STI is gonna save us, wow, how ####en pathetic. You guys have proven nothing and your over here waisting peoples times with rumors, you want to provide evidence, then show me the many shops making 320-350whp with bolt ons on 07 STI, you can't because the only ####in' shop that claims to have made these numbers is Top Speed. Show me video of that 12.1@113mph run, woops can't do that either can you? Ok atleast show me the time slip, you can't do that either? For crying out loud what the #### can you prove?!?! Other than that once again you guys jump the gun. Is it possible that 07 STIs make more power than early years, yes it is, and would be smart of Subaru to do so, but it's to early to tell, and you shouldn't be posting DOODOO on other websites until you have more proof. EVO owners been through this sh*t, bogus shops and bogus numbers, don't believe everything you read especially on the internet. Maybe a few months down the road, I see other shops making 320whp-350whp with a few bolt ons like EVO IXs, and you know what I'll say congrats, but that day hasn't arrived yet has it? And if in a few months I see the numbers looking no different than 06 STIs from other shops, then once again it will prove my case Subaru owners jumping the gun.
