2 SC S2000= 2 bad drivers? I hope so....
at a local track this past weekend, there were 2 supercharged S2000's and it looked like they both had the same superchragers. Well, either the drivers were REALLY bad, or the sc kit doesnt put down that much hp.
FWIW-I think the best time was MAYBE a 13.9X @ 103mph and this was when the sun was down and the temps under mid 70's. Also, the ultimate-racing.com turbo kit ran 12.6 @ like 114 on stock tires. Maybe all you sc owners should be looking into turbo kits.

With my custom turbo kit running 0.4 bar ~5.88 psi I ran a 13.9xx at 103.4 untuned and just slipping the clutch at about 5k. 2.4 60ft time. I'm suprised the sc s2000 aren't running low 13s.

13.51@107.1 was the best i got the 1 time i took it to a 1/4 track. no upgrades to diff and no desire to kill drivetrain so i can say it went a couple 10ths quicker. lets not forget the SC power comes on strong in middle RPM's, not at low/sane launch speeds.
you just cannot bench race the times expected based on total HP, you have to look at where the power is at. coming off the line, a SC car is not going to be that much faster than a stock one so that initial point to make all the time is not really there. we start to pull hard and it shows in trap speed.
besides, our car is not about launches, it is about the twisties.

Could it be possible that the drivers didn't do a hard launch? If I was SC'd, I wouldn't. I'd rather slip the clutch and lose out on the times than drop the hammer and kill the diff. ~300hp to the rear wheels must put more stress everywhere than a stock S2k at ~200hp. That's just me though.
The trap speeds you saw would make for a solid mid 13's car. I'm sure that if the SC S2k's were on an oval track or the race was extended to a 1/2 mile, the difference would be a lot clearer.
A stronger diff , gear reduction (4.44) and a roots-type blower would be ideal for that kind of driving since boost would be available sooner than the Paxton chargers. Too bad those Eaton blowers are only for RHD cars only.
