Well... I mean i dont do alot of Dig runs. Probably didnt launch good.

Where are your RPMs at when launching?
at the strip, it depends, on the street Im right around 7k but I use the clutch to limit wheel spin by slowly releasing it. This limits the chance of bogging. Where were your rpms? Did you dump the clutch, bog then go?
WTH!? Really!? Rev to 7k to launch in our cars!?

I was nowhere near that! Probably at like 3k. lol!

the s2000 is a HIGH REVVING MOTOR lol torque gets you off the line, look at the plot of an s2000 and point out where the torque is, I will help you, it's high in the rpms. Again the power in these motors rest high in the rpm, welcome to driving an s2000

Just practice your launches. Get a feel for the ground conditions, the temperature of the tires, etc. I've heard people on both camps that say near redline shifts will "you'll kill your diff" or "I've do it all the time and it has never broke"

Personally, I rarely launch my S. I save the tire spinning fun for my other car.

Yeah. I think the same. I'd rather not run from digs. Because supposedly its known that our Diffs are weak.

It's all about clutch control, I rather wear a clutch out than injure a diff. Just don't dump the clutch your will be fine

I've raced my buddy's 2.0T and beat him bad from roll 20 and 40mph. Then again I'm i/e with a flash and I believe he was stock lol.

Talk about dig, I've practiced launches last Thursday getting ready for IFO last Sunday. I launched like for an hour straight to get the feel of it. Had my two step at 6k launches. I'm glad my diff is still okay haha.

You have a video of how it sounds with 2 step in your car?

I would like to see how that sounds.

You want tire spin on launch. With rwd you want the tires to take the hit not clutch or diff. You don't stress the diff bad as long as you get some tire spin off the line. You should also pre load the gear using the ebrake.
Awd the clutch should take the abuse on launches.
