I own a 1989 944 Turbo and while crusing along at the speed limit in town a nice S2000 blew by me. I picked it up a little but because we were in a city with low speed limits so I really didn't want to get up too fast but I did want to see how the two cars compared. Sure enough I caught him stopped at a set of lights. He was the first car in the left lane and I was right behind him. A cop going the other way was stopped at the same lights so I knew we couldn't take off right away. We both left at a normal pace and cruised at about 30 mph - me leaving about 2 car lengths between us. Once in the clear he started pulling away so I nailed it. Up to about 50 mph I wasn't gaining on him but as soon as my boost built up I slowly started making up the gap. At around 75 mph I was right up to his back bumper. I could have made the pass but my turn-off was right ahead so I backed off. I really like the S2K and was impressed by the power they are getting out of that 2.0 litre 4 cylinder. My car is a 2.5 litre 4 cylinder and without the turbo it wouldn't have been close. My car is chipped with a cat bypass and is probably in the 280-290 hp range. I know the S2K is around 240 HP so it must be quite a bit lighter than my 944 turbo. Anyone else here run with a 944 Turbo or Turbo S? How did you do?

Yeah I ran a 944 before and for some reason I beat him by 2-3 car lengths. I was actually surprised that I beat one!!! Maybe it was a driver skill thing or something. But I was hella excited. I had a friend sitting with me too and he was all alone
