why does everyone dump the clutch?? thats whats killing the diff. preload the driveline, let the assend start to squat, then release fast but not dumped. i can launch on the street at 7k perfectley fine with minmal wheel spin, no banging or dropping of the clutch and very limited clutch slip. its almost nothing but win

bring that ap2 to play .

Commence the ap1 vs ap2 arguments...

hypforlife - I'd like to see a video of that...sounds like a lot of burnt clutch smell.

That sounds exactly like what I do, even though it's been awhile. It's a good tradeoff of minimizing clutch wear, drivetrain shock, and getting a good launch. No problems with either of my S2000s.

I've run some fast times and believe you ran a 13.6 or so with bolt-ons.

yeah there is some clutch smell sometimes depending of if i do it right. trust me ive had some clutch smell. on the nights on driving good i can usually get some good ones. it squats and spins o so slightly.

ill get a video once i get my charger to charge my camera back from my buddy.

AH i do have one of a decent street launch of an m3...

as you can tell a little to high on the launch, but for me what works best if you can hold any rpm above vtec without bogging is a good 60ft

its not the bad, as long as you get the car to squat and dont apply Wot instanly then dump the clutch you would be using clutch youll be using rpms, they will fall but then catch when the clutch is fully engaged but tires will keep spinning. thats why i launch high.

and omg vtec, yeah i was a 13.6 at 103.79mph. and that was my first time ever at the track, there was excellent conditions that night and my 60ft was a 2.2 . lol if i had a better 60 that night i proabbly would have been a 13.5 at 102-103mph but hey should coulda woulda. .lol. all i know is my buddy ran 13.8 on civic si with full bolt ons and a 75shot at 108mph hahahaha. GARRBAGE!
