welcome to the world of racing; not every driver is equal and not every car is standard. also, his car isnt stock, and in addition he said he was "inching"; not exactly rape-age by the sound of it. typical outcome imo....

Motor Trend seemed very pleased with the GT500 in their recent comparo with the new Viper and Z06, they put the Viper 3rd, the GT500 2nd, and the Z06 1st.

yeah you can, those cars are extremely weak for having "300hp"

I test drove one a couple months ago and the salesman was like "its pretty fast isnt it!" and I had to break his heart and tell him it was pretty slow. Probably didn't help that I had pulled in in my VR4. I mean its only 320hp and weighs about 3700lbs, but it was a heck of a lot faster than an 06 GT

c6 > gt500 anyday. it weighs a ton and its f/r weght distribution is completely messed up for an FR coupe IMHO. if i wanted a SCed mustang i'd get the terminators in a heartbeat over the gt500.

the article that placed the gt500 before the Viper was not due to performance...it was only because the gt500 is more livable as a DD.

Mustang = cheap speed, the GT i had back in the day, I hated it, nothing but problems with and grrr, just had a totally bad experience then i met my baby the S2000 now its me and the S till death do us part ^^

A buddies 05 gt auto with headers and exhaust is running 12.80. I'll have to ask, but I don't believe he has gears or a stall convertor.

For an auto it moves!
