You are more than welcome to message Ramocheese he is a member here on s2ki. Think you are missing a few thing in your attempt to reason the situation.....Torque and a DSG Transmission. A stage 1 2.0T makes more HP, and way way more TQ than any bolt on s2k. Add that to a DSG transmission? s2k = dead.

 

i think there was a guy who posted in the street encounters not too long ago who put quite a few cars on a stage 2 2.0t dsg with this ap2 4.77 gears invidia test pipe and exhaust. And also put bus lengths on him with a 75??? shot i believe.

lol...something is very wrong w/ his car to lose to a stage1 A3...a well driven STOCK 02+ S2k will pull an A3 w/ only stg1, period...if you weren't so far away from Oregon i would put a bus+ on you; and then have my buddies stg2 MKV GTI put a bus on you too...of course it would be a friendly massacre...not to mention the last VW meet i went to i ran 2 stg2+(that means they both had the HPFP) MKV GLI's and almost bussed them both by 130...sooooo...IDK man

lol...and the DSG only hurts you above 100mph...and btw my GTI was about 700lbs lighter than your A3 w/ more HP to the wheels and about 50ft lbs more torque...and it would still lose to a basically stock S to 130...

 

and you say more hp than any bolt-on s2k...hahahahaha...nope...a stg1 (TSI)A3 will put down about 215-230whp on the high end depending on supporting mods...so...by bolt-on S do you mean just i/e...

 

02+ ? 00-01 have the same motor in a slightly lighter car and are known to run rich from the factory... that wasnt a very smart comment?

They do. 8-10 hp on average due to a retuned ECU.

 

where are you guys getting this infortmation? there is no way in hell a 2002 will dyno 10 whp more then a 2001. This has to be the most retarded thread on s2ki

 

Actually it's true. An 02-03 ap1 will dyno slightly higer than a 00-01 since the ECU is tuned slightly different. I've seen many 00-01 owners switch to a 02-03 ECU and gain around 10hp on the dyno.

 

can u guys provide any sort of proof of this... because i have lurked these forums for years and have not even heard of this... keep in mind im runing an aem ems...doesnt really matter to me (and i believe myself to be a very knowledgeable s2000 guy). I find it extremely hard to believe that a 2002 will put down 10whp or a 2001 will gain 10 whp from putting in a 2002 ecu. Any sort of proof?
