Default Couldn't help it...S2000 vs Evolution

I usually don't go looking for races, but a really nice looking silver Evo was pacing me last night. We both floored it at around 60, he had a small jump on me, but was very slowly walking me till about 95, then I started to walk on him just before we both let off. We get on the service rd, and do another from a 20mph roll. Think I got the jump on him this time. It seemed pretty even, but I seemed to get slight jumps on him every time we shifted. Maybe I shifted faster, but we were both on the gas and no one was pulling. All I've got are alloy pulleys and a good valve adjustment. He had turbo, sounded cool to hear it whip up. I can't tell who would win here...

good run! Was it the EVO 8? I've herd that you can't powershift a turbo car?!?!? Is there a truth to this? If so that would explain why you jumped up durring shifts.
good run though, always good to here!

Not sure, but it was very sharp looking...and I don't say that about many cars.

You don't need to powershift. Those millisecs. are not worth a new transmission.

its not thes power shifting, the thing is that the evo 8's turbo needs to spool up again everything he lets off of the gas

thats not true at all. Once the car is in the powerband the turbo is always spooling. That would be like saying the S2000 has to 're-engage' VTEC when it shifts and presses the gas back down. But it doesn't. Once your above 6,000 you stay above 6,000. IF you fall below then thats a problem. Same with a turbo car, if you fall before 4,000 in the EVO, then that's a problem. Stay at 4,000 and up the turbo has enough to spool.

I just always looked at those ar like i could get a much better car because of what they cost.

I mean my god when those first came out I in tyler they were priced at 35k and i was like mmmmmm.

Hell no plus I approve of my S much more antiways. Though I did run one with a hks turbo exhaust and new bov along with a ecu program.

We were pretty even from about to 20 to 90 but then man top end equaled turbo time for him and man he walked off bad but it was modded. Though quarter wise it was to close to call but on into 100 no sir.
