Cyrus Vs The Silver Bullet
backpedaling? first off i never fully agreed to race, read all my posts, i make it clear there is too much hype behind this race and i didnt purchase this car to drag. Im just sticking to my ground that this would be a pointless race so im not backpedaling from a damn thing and in no way does it mean i am pussying out. Had i kept saying how great my car was and how i was gonna kick the 5.0's ass then said i wouldnt race thats a different story. But that never happened. Secondly, i never told anyone i would win and ive never said you would win either, ive stayed away from saying who would win the race. So no, i am not the one who originally said i would win. You are the one who has been saying everything about the race. To me, drag racing in an s2k is pointless, I simply choose not to engage in something i see as pointless.
I could make some snide remark about CyrusA's manhood, but that would not be very nice
Instead, I will say that the cammed 5.0 with headers, exhaust, and gears must sound badass. It would be interesting to see how the race went - I'm guessing it would be close, IMHO the 5.0 definitely could win. Go from a roll and from a stop, if possible - the winner from a dig isn't always the fastest driver/car from a roll.
Racing is fun. If you put so much importance on winning that you refuse to risk losing, you are missing the point. Who cares if you lose, unless you have been all cocky about it? If driving fast in your car isn't important, why not buy a Miata rather than an S2000, and save a lot of money? The Miata handles better because it is lighter, it costs less, and chicks dig it. The only reason to buy an S2000 over it is for the straightline speed, really. And if you are afraid to use it, it is kind of a waste of money :/
