E55 AMG/Ferrari 324/Cobra/S
 

Not one to get a ticket racing I generally cool my heals. This AM, while driving up PCH on my way home from looking at great cars at the local Crystal Cove Show, I heard some one yelling. At the next light I looked at the ugly green Cobra next to me and he was looking straight ahead. The beautiful old black Ferrari next to him was looking at the driver in the right lane. This was a 4 lane highway at that point. The beautiful black E55 AMG was in the right lane and the driver was yelling and pointing at me. He very lividly expressed he wanted to race. I just eased out and watched him takeoff with the other two cars in hot persuit. At the next light the AMG was yelling even louder and reving his engine challenging me to a race. The road ahead was clear and no cops in sight. The signal the other direction turned yellow and I eased the clutch slightly takeing the slack out of the drivetrain and when the green came on I dumped the clutch at about 2000 rpm and hit the gas. The AMG took off at exactly the same time and I could hear he was next to me. I hit second immediately with a little bark from the shaved RA1s and jumped him at least 3 car lengths. Third gear left me by myself so I shutdown. At the next light I gave the guy the palms up signal asking what happened to him. He wouldn't look at me and left his windows up. :LOL: I'm sure it shocked the crap out of him to have someone walk him about 3 car lengths so quickly. Score one for Honda.

Wow, good kill. Aren't those things capapble of mid 12's?

There is NOTHING that an s2k can have, short of a 500HP turbo motor, to even remotely give an 04 E55 a run. From a stop, not a chance (unless he sat there spinning) from a roll, it wont help if an F14 is towing you, the E55 will leave you by BUSES and BUSES and a few trains. I drove the E55 and own an s2000, there is simply no comparison. He wasnt racing you. But if he was, I dont know how, but, good kill.

I have seen the new E55 take out modded cobras, and pretty much every porsche short of the GT2, and its pretty damn close. You guys should take a drive to a dealeship and check this thing out, its simply stunning.
