Well, we went out tonight for some shopping and on the way back were like lets cruise through town and see whats going on. We had just pulled off the freeway and are going under the overpass and an older 90ish 5.0 is going the other way, well they rev as they go by so I rev back. I was kepping an eye on them in the mirror and I noticed the do a u-turn, so im like cool, we get to race a 5.0.

I was pretty far ahead, so I slow down and they are catching up pretty quik, so as they get close, I downshift to 2nd and they fly by and turn on their hazards, LOL, im like wtf?? I sped up and catch up to them and am waiting in 3rd, they floor it and so do I and I begin to pull easily, I got about 2-3 cars up and turn on my hazards (LOL, just to mess with them, I normally dont like doing that) So I slow down and let them get even with us again and they floor it, this time im in 2nd, I easily pull on them and take it up to 4th, I'd say I had a good 5-6 cars on them, so I figure ok, race is over so I slow down, and here they come flying by and turning on the hazards. I was gonna turn off, but im like ok I gotta pull up to them at the light. It was a girl driving and her boyfriend or whatever is like "hey man, you gotta give it to her she did pretty good" Im like umm, no actually she's pretty slow.

Im sure there are some stronger 5.0's out there, but that one sounded stock, if you can believe that. But I just think its funny when someone instigates the race then gets their ass handed to them

 

Nice run man! I agree with you, I dont think losing by 5-6 car lengths would be considered "pretty good."

 

LOL, Thanks...Yeah not too good I know they were out just having fun and seriously I thought it would be a better race, guess I'll have to find another one

I have the intake and downpipe ordered and 2 weeks later its the cams and ecu, should be enough to get me into the low 12's.

 

Nice runs! They probably thought they won, knowing how some people think.

I've beaten on some of the stock 5.0's too. It was fun.

 

Yeah, I think they thought they had an easy win against the ricer car with the big wing
