ILoveMYHonda1984 vs. modded ZO6
So many of you know my car, its a you tune kit from SOS although not much is left of the original kit except the bracket. Upgraded blower, injectors, fuel system, engine management, etc, etc.
Anyway I made 509whp, 347wtq on a low reading dyno on e85 and 20psi.
One of buddies has a 2008 Corvette ZO6 with intake, exhaust and a tune on it making over 200ft/lb tq more than I am. His car runs awesome! He has put many higher hp cars to shame in the area including 580hp SRT Neon, Supercharged Vipers, 700hp Porsche, its a beast.
He has expressed interest in running my car after I got things running strong again. That night was tonight. After 8 or so runs we have agreed that his car is indeed faster, but he was very surprised at what a sc S2000 can do.
We tried both 2nd and 3rd gear rolls. I stayed right with him until 100, then he starts pulling. I let out at 130 and he had 2 cars.
If we had run from a 1st gear roll, Id have pulled as my traction setup is superior. All in all very fun to be that close with a car that has pulled on most anything in the area.
All the runs were done in Mexico on a deserted highway. Oh and wouldnt you have it the one time i took may camera off the stand in the car I need it.

One of the big reasons he pulls on you so hard at 100+ is aerodynamics. Z06's Cd is 0.31, S2000's is anywhere from 0.37-0.41 (not sure if Honda ever officially released that.) Not to mention his gearing is probably longer. If you're on 4.1 FD gearing, going to 3.9 would probably help out a lot.
But that's insane that you kept up. That Z06 is a 10 second car... congrats!

YOU ARE MY HERO!! As stated above that z06 is a 10 second car at 130ish mph. Please don't ever go turbo lol everyone knows what a turbo s2k can do, but I would imagine with an exhaust the SC is barely audible so no one would even have any idea what your car is capable of until you punch it. It will track a lot better than a turbo at those power levels. When I get back into an s2k I will be going for a high hp SC build. Maybe not quite as high as you, but hopefully around 450whp. There are very few of you on here, and you are all my inspiration.

Thanks for the compliments. I have some things in the works, looking to hit 550 w a set of cams (ap1) and a larger throttle body, exhaust cutout at 15psi, and another tune. I hope to turn the tables a bit and pull on him until 100, then let him have it after that. I understand that its his race after 100 mark. Going to test the exhaust cutout theory on wed, with a baseline dyno pull

for him to make 200 ft/lbs more torque than the 347 you're making, he'd need cams and longtube headers as well.
Also to the guy saying that an s2000 with exhaust and a supercharger is barely audible? LOL. Superchargers make exhaust LOUDER, not quieter.

Obviously as he stated the 1500 is a little on the loud side lol so it isn't as stealthy as I would have thought but still most people will think its just a comptech or vortech at 10psi at the most and they would be slightly wrong.....And yea I agree for that z06 to be puttind down 550wtq he's getta be in that 600whp range which would require a little more than just i/h/e. But as stated above good kill, and I love your car.
