Yeah well I don't have that silly air box anymore..

But that suv has a really wide powerband and I have to give it props.. I wasn't expecting it to be that fast so yeah I had my top off & I never used my airbox lid because when your moving it doesn't matter

Good kills. Good to see some races from a stop!

An FX35, pre 2009 (280hp), trap around 90mph in the 1/4 mile. The 09+ with the VQ35HR (303hp) trap around 95mph in the 1/4. Neither should be an issue for you or any S2000. There is also an FX45 with a 4.5L V8 (320hp I think?) that is similar to the HR. The new FX50 with the 5.0 V8 traps low-mid 100s and probably makes somewhere under 400hp and will easily beat an S2000.

I know trap speeds don't mean everything in a roll race, but I can't explain why a DE or HR FX35 would do that to you. Only thing I can think of is you mistakenly didn't shift at redline and were out of your powerband.
I definitely went all the way to redline every shift.. And the guy driving it was shifting the suv as well..

I don't know why it was as fast as it is.. But my friend that was driving it has a 370z so he knows what he's doing.. It's not like it was a soccer mom or anything

Yeah it got me..

Oh well.. You can't win them all..

That SS makes up for it.. I have a lot more wins on video than losses..

Yeah, the powerband is broader than the S2000's. However, they're geared worse than the S2000 and they make similar horsepower levels (less than the Z due to the transmission I assume). They weigh 4000+lbs and are aerodynamically inferior to the S2000.

Should be a slam dunk for the S2000.

Just to be clear incase you guys misread what i posted..

I raced an EX35 not an FX35.. I don't even know where you guys are reading FX at..

Anyways here are the specs for them..

http://autos.aol.com/cars-Infiniti-EX35-2009/specs/

I'm sure one of the hp/weight analyst will give details on why I should have beat it..

If my math is correct the..

EX35 power/weight is 12.6lbs/1hp (3752lbs total) link provided
S2000 power/weight is 11.9lbs/1hp (2864lbs total) wikipedia

If I'm wrong please correct..

Oh wow, forgot the EX35 even existed. My bad. Yeah, anywhere from 3750-3900 lbs, depending on options. Mid-high 14 second car trapping 95-97mph. It does have an HR.

I can say this..

They aren't bigger than a g35 sedan on the inside.. But I wouldn't mind having a suv that moves like that

Owned that POS Cobalt SS. That guy can't drive worth beans. Was it the supercharged or turbo'd Cobalt? I'm guessing the supercharged.
