Me vs 07 CLS 63 AMG
 

My friend just picked up a CLS 63 AMG today. We went out to a Hookah place we usuallu hang out. On the way back, we just had some quick races for fun.

First race, from 40mph, he honks and I immediately pulled because when he went WOT, he went into lag because of his automatic transmission so we agree that I will wait for him to get going before I hit it. Again from 40mph, he honks again and starts pulling. I immediately hit it and keep him on 2nd, put 2 cars on him on 3rd and on 4th I pulled another car and he let off before redlining 4th. I wasn't expecting that much difference but it was sure a fun run.

those V-8 on those AMG are mean, a friend of mine got smoke in his stock EVO 9 on the freeway the other day, i was in the passenger seat.

haha an Evo on stock turbo will probably see the tail lights of that beast most of the time...those things are very quick and designed to cruise at insane speeds on the autobahn.

the new CLS 63 looks absolutely GORGEOUS....best looking Benz i've seen in years IMHO.

mmm ur friend must not know how to drive...i have an my 07 CLS AMG and my 07 S2K and there is no way even turbo S2 can keep up let alone pull on the CLS!

he's putting down 451.49 WHP...you sure about that?

if hes buddy puts the tranny in manual mode and hits the paddle shifters i find it hard to believe. from the boosted S2Ks i have driven have all seem to still have nothing on the bottom end.

He was in the automatic mode because he isn't used to the paddle shifters yet.

Why would his car lag? It has a NA V8, not turbo'ed. :confused:
