Here's a handy little calculator for crank hp to wheel hp. But of course its not 100% accurate as different cars but down power differently.

Fg2's are FWD. less drivetrain loss. Stock cars make about 175-185whp. Tuned should be above 200whp. Tuned and bolt-ons would be closer to 215whp. Plus it has way more torque than the F20. If you won, it's only because you're a better driver/faster shifter
No, not really. Especially not if the race is from a roll. K motors make tons more torque and also have short gearing.

For a civic to even keep up or beat a s2000 it would need around 230 whp.
Never said anything about bolt ons. Just a/f was messed with on stock intake and stock exhaust. I pulled 2-3 cars from 2nd to third. There's not better driver/faster driver for the win here.

The hp difference from fwd and rwd to the wheels is very minimal. Only a slight variation of around 5hp if the crank is the same. Even tho the loss is a tad bit smaller its not a noticeable difference with cars that put out around 200hp. a 200hp fwd car puts down 170whp while a rwd car with 200hp will put down 166hp and you can bet your money the rwd car will win in a drag race. The difference is .02% from fwd and rwd and rwd's yield better launches.

"In the case of FWD vehicles, the torque path is more direct to the front wheels and the use of efficient helical final drive gears means that drivetrain losses can be as much as 50 percent lower than on RWD and AWD vehicles."
the ~20 for awd, ~15 for rwd and ~9 percent rule for fwd is the standard accepted norm.
IF your friend is making around 220C than he should be right at 200whp.
you being stock at 240C will be right around 195-210
seeing that our cars weigh almost the same and he makes more torque than you, he should have had the jump for sure and you would have played catchup, not the other way around. either, you won by a tiny tiny tiny margin, or he just cant drive.
as for the totally gutted, stripped and acid-dipped 93 SI hatch with a 800 pound weight reduction and a gsr swap, he will own you. 180hp at 1500lbs is a .12 P:W and you are 2800lbs at 240 which is .08. no point in that race. lol
